Pray for Dallas Seminary incoming students

Pray for Dallas Seminary incoming students

Hi.

This fall, hundreds of new students will begin their journey at Dallas Theological Seminary. They come from different backgrounds, churches, professions, and countries, but they share one thing in common: a desire to know God more deeply and serve Him more faithfully.

As we look ahead to the fall semester, we’re grateful for the ways God continues to bring students to DTS. Here’s a glimpse at the incoming class we’re preparing to welcome:

  • 520 new students
  • 56% men / 44% women
  • Degree programs: The largest incoming group is enrolled in the ThM, followed by MAC and MACL, with students also pursuing the MAAE, MACE, MACS, MACP, and MBTS.

Each DTS student carries a unique story of how God led him or her to DTS. I would like to introduce just a few of our current DTS students:

Nathan has served in ministry in both Germany and North Carolina through missions, youth ministry, education, and discipleship. He is pursuing a Doctor of Education degree at DTS, and he feels called to faithfully study, obey, and teach God’s Word for the next generation.

Yekwang, from South Korea, originally studied engineering before sensing God redirecting him toward vocational ministry. Through DTS’s Global 100 program, he is pursuing a Master of Theology degree while serving in his church in Busan, where he leads youth discipleship and community outreach ministries.

Debora, who comes from a Haitian family deeply rooted in faith and perseverance, spent years serving as a nurse and school nurse before sensing God calling her toward counseling ministry. She is pursuing a Master of Arts in Counseling degree with a desire to walk alongside young women with biblical wisdom and care.

I love seeing the many ways God calls students to DTS. Some are preparing for ministry in churches, and some to serve in counseling offices, classrooms, corporations, mission fields, nonprofits, and communities around the world. Yet all of them are being equipped to faithfully teach truth and love well wherever God sends them.

Through the Alumni Scholarship Fund Book Drive, DTS alumni have the opportunity to encourage new students before classes even begin. A $300 gift provides a first-semester textbook scholarship for one incoming student and reminds students that they are stepping into a community that believes in them, prays for them, and supports their calling.

Would you consider helping welcome one of these students to DTS this fall?

Give today!
