Thank you Jack again and again for your love, prayers and support. Whatever happened to the stress free golden years? Both of our families have experienced life threatening situations and it’s scary. We pray constantly for you too! Latest update from Jim... Jared is having post surgical complications of ileus. Essentially his bowel needs to "wake-up". He is also having some issues with his liver/ kidneys which are being watched by the liver team. None of this is surprising but needs attention. He has a Naso-gastric tube from his nose to try to decompress his stomach to let it rest. No food until his ileus improves. I'm still on standby here in Wisconsin. I've been cleaning and closing up our cottage. We are praying that Jared gets into a skilled nursing program with PT for at least two weeks when he gets out of the hospital. If so Jim will fly back and we will start driving home. Jared will need our care in our home for the next couple of months at least.
